Double {dre}AMY
These delicate jewelry pieces are a result of fantastic collaboration between Amy Bengtson jewelry and nationally recognized designer, Amy Ruppel. Isn't that brilliant? These necklaces are a perfect combination of rosewood and sterling silver.
Available at Amy Bengtson's website.
C is for Cooking
I can't believe that time is passing by so fast. We are at the end of another week. The best part of the whole week is the weekend. The time when we can forget about everything and sit back and relax. I am cooking a big dinner for my friends. Actually been cooking for two days. There are some of the Indian foods which take more time and longer preparation than others. I try and use all fresh ingredients and cook from the scratch, nothing canned. Not when I am cooking for friends. What are you plans for the weekend? Cooking at home or dining out?
I wish I had these owl plates to serve food in and that pot for hot cardamom tea. I'd even used those cute chopsticks for decoration!
Available at ModCloth.

Found My Sunshine
Lindsay Brackeen is an amazing artist who has been recognized by many design blogs like Poppytalk and Design*Sponge for her work. I am in love with her unique and modern mixed media paintings. My favorite one is You Are My Sunshine. I am so excited to have found her! Visit her blog for more information about her work. There are lot of beautiful prints available in her shop and some of them are on sale. So, hurry!
Thanks Lindsay for giving the world Sunshine :)
Print Size: Image measures 8" X 10" with a white border suitable for framing.
12"x20" Night Owls
'Night Owls' pillow by LUprints. Designer Ulla Clark found her inspiration at an early age in Scandinavian embroidered and screen printed textiles. Her fondness grew, and she incorporated nature's simplicity in her work. "She spent a decade working outside in the forest, often finding time for collecting and cataloguing plants and flowers" - Now, that's what I call true passion. I like how each of her owls is so unique and has a completely different expression.
Available at LUprints for $45. Measures: 12"x20". 55% Linen/45% Cotton.
Cookies by Amber
Something for you to enjoy with your morning tea. These owl cookies were made by Amber, who earned her degree in baking and pastry from 'The Culinary Institute of America'. "Creating cookie art is my passion." She made these cookies for a client of hers, and I bet they were very happy to have these. I wish that client were me. Don't you?
If you didn't get enough sugar, then go to her blog for more treats and lots of inspiration!

Cuteness Overload
French Money Bank
Isn't this the cutest owl money bank you have ever seen? I specially like his horn shaped ears and Pinocchio looking nose. It's hand painted in France. It'd make a great gift for any kid or accessories your work desk. Measures approximately 5"h.
For $32 at Three Potato Four.

Owl Plushies by 'Night Owl Paper Goods'
If you recently visited Night Owl Paper Goods, you must have seen their Owl Plushies. These are the latest addition to their store and are going fast! What make these plush owls unique is that they are made out of thrift sweaters and repurposed book pages. If you look closely (click on the picture to zoom) you'll notice that each owl has a pair of acorn eyes. Isn't that genius? So, here you have an owl which is super cute and is 100% nature friendly.
Contact Lori Nichols, who made these for Alan and Jennifer, if you have a sweater and she'll make it look this cute.
Pacifica: Affordable Luxury
I'd buy their product for their packaging alone. I stumbled upon their website and after seeing their product range which includes body butter, soy candles, solid perfumes and more, I dashed to their about page. I wanted to know all about the people who come up with product names like Tibetan Mountain Temple and Avalon Juniper. I was pleased to find out that the company is run by a couple, Brook and Billy, who have a great story behind how it all started. A glimpse below:
"Pacifica was conceived on the drive home from a surfing trip. Brook and Billy knew they wanted to create a company that would reflect their talents, passion for nature and beauty and healthy, surfer lifestyle."
Their Avalon Juniper collection (shown) features an owl, a crow and branches.
For more visit their website Pacifica.
Wire Animal
I am intrigued by this cute wire sculpture card by Miro Shun. She is an artist based in Phoenix, Arizona who works with so little material to create such amazing life like creatures on her cards.
"Everyone always asks how she makes the creatures- a jig? a pattern? secret elves? The truth is, it’s just a single pair of pliers, a spool of wire (one piece per image) and her nimble fingers."
Her work ranges from cakes to bugs, robots to people! Visit her here for more inspiration.
Designer Owls: Barneys New York
Pink Chicken for $48
Beba Bean starting at $22
Forget.me.not scarf for $365 (nope, not a typo)
Some very designer owls found at Barneys. There are some blue and pink dresses, a blanket for infants, some very handsome neck ties and a 'Forget.me.not' scarf (of course, I won't, not after paying that much money).
Available at Barneys.

Talented Gals: Angie and Kristin
I have become a big fan of Blondie Designs' cute illustrations and color choices. Both the artists, Angie and Kristin, gradually cultivated their love for beautiful typography, soothing colors and elegant design. Another feather in their hats is that they are the Senior Art Directors for Martha Stewart Living magazine and Martha Stewart Weddings magazine!
The owl bookplate (shown) is from their Owl Collection. There are also note cards, invitations and labels available in the same print.
Visit their blog here for a closer look at their work.
From Russia With Love
These owl nesting dolls are hand crafted and hand painted by artists in Russia. I love the first set. Did you notice the glasses on the big owl, bow around the neck of the smaller one and a globe on the belly of the smallest?
Available at The Russian Store.
I Want This Typhoon
Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and have gathered lots of energy to start a brand new week. I have a great pick-me-up to start off our Monday together. Shoes!! Yes, owl shoes (BC Footwear Women's Typhoon) I think these are perfect fall shoes and look very comfortable for evening strolls. What do you say?
I like both the colors but since I am a blacks-blues-browns kind of girl, I am leaning towards the second one. Don't you think that owl is kind of cute? Looks like this one has ponytails.
Available in blue and orange. These are on 30% off sale at Shoes.
