David and Kallie's daughter Tova's owl themed birthday party had so many beautiful things. Why wouldn't it? Kallie spent several months on planning this wonderful party and the results were more than amazing. Look for yourself.
I love the cake, it's so simple yet so sweet. The cake toppers were made by Kallie herself with wooden doll and an owl which was gifted to her by her grandmother. Isn't the doll's dress just adorable?!
Moving on. The table cover with the gorgeous pattern, the yellow owl vase, lantern candle holders and flowers made it a perfect spot for adults to hang out.
Kallie made those colorful lollipops right from the scratch and those short bread cookies look de-licious! I like the color scheme of peace and pink, which I think are the perfect choices for a girl's party. What girl doesn't like peace or pink? Right?
To my favorite, if I were at the party I'd have squealed in delight at the sight of that custom made giant owl paper pinata. Super cute! I bet Tiva loves owls too because she rocked those darling owl shoes, totally!
{Thanks Michelle}
I love the party idea, and peach and pink are perfect for a girl's birthday, but really? Kallie spent months planning her baby's 1st birthday party? How'd she have time to take care of her several-month old baby? And Tova won't ever remember how awesome the decorations were or how delicious the shortbread was.
ReplyDeleteOk, so it's kind of a pet peeve of mine to go overboard on very small children's parties. Sorry for the rant. But I love your blog! Go Rice Owls!

ReplyDeleteYour featured owl party reminded me of this other cute party I was looking at recently by photographer, Josh McCullock...http://bit.ly/d6tRWg
I googled Owl Themed Birthdays because I have decided that I want my 20th birthday to be "a hoot" and I stumbled upon your post. What a beautiful party. I've already looked up Owl Pinata's, but I will most probably end up making my own. And my own owl cake too http://www.flickr.com/photos/pjchmiel/1141076216/
