Meet Brian Ignacio And His Owls
Who is Brian Ignacio?
In his own words: "My name is Brian Ignacio, and I'm a 20 year old college student in San Francisco. I am obsessed with owls, Japanese monsters, eye patches and graphic novels.
I love art that is playful and accessible. My belief is that people should not be intimidated or discouraged in making their own stories and assertions about an art piece; each experience with an artwork should be regarded as an isolated incident that will always be different.
Part of what makes art so amazing and inspiring is the amount of imagination that is involved, whether it be in the form of creating art, or the act of appreciating and interpreting art.
I sincerely hope that my art is able to have those aspects evident in them, and that it at least inspires you to create for yourself! "
Now, meet his wonderful owls. Brian Ignacio loves owls too, like us. He emailed me about his limited-edition hand-painted owls on wood blocks. Each owl is unique and comes with a 4x6 watercolor painting. The edition run is limited to only 35 and are going fast! To read more on the process and the paintings go to his blog.
Brian has numbered and named 9 of his pre-made owls for reference and to give a general idea about his work. You can contact him at Brian1gnacio@yahoo.com for custom owls with your color scheme, eye shape, wing position and position of the block. He is planning on opening a store on Etsy soon, for updates follow his blog.
