I came across this rare owl shaped milk glass jar on this auction website and instantly loved it. Have you guys seen anything like this before? Apparently, it's used for storing fruit jam.
I found this owl jar at a flea market yesterday. I collect milk glass, and I love this owl. The man selling it knew all about the jar. He said they were mustard jars in the late 1800's and sold new for about 12 cents. Without a lid, it's current worth is about $25. With a lid, it's worth right under $100. The lid is more valuable than the jar, so don't part with it!
I've never seen anything like that! Those are so beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday my dear
So cute! I love all of them!
ReplyDeleteChe meraviglia!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
I actually have that exact same owl jar, only mine doesn't have a lid. I always wondered what it was for. =D
