Elizabeth Berrien aka Wire Lady is a well known artist in the field of wire sculptures. She started to form wire sculptures in 1968 and soon pioneered her own unique form of wire sculpture. Each of her sculptures is a beautiful composition of hundreds of individual strands hand-twisted into expressive animal, human and abstract form. Her "Wire Owl" is an excellent example of her "intricate weaving which gives the piece a delicate air to" it.
Brilliant work
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the owl one!
ReplyDeleteAwesome work! I think the rhino would be perfect in a boy's room!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! You should check out our latest post too, on paper art, there is a particular artist featured on there who has done some beautiful paper owls - it made me think of you. See if you can spot the owl in one of the pictures.

ReplyDelete@ Giulia I'll certainly stop by. Have a great day!
I love these wire sculptures. They remind me of when my sister and I used to bend champagne wire tops into itty bitty chairs.
ReplyDeleteI have an owl that I believe was created by Elizabeth Berrien. Beautiful work. It's a barn owl, and a free standing 3D figure.
