Megan of The Art of Homemaking painted these fun owls on Toms and shared the step by step picture tutorial on her blog. I hope this tutorial inspires you to use Tom's as a blank canvas to paint what your heart desires.

West Elm is another fun place that I visited while I was in New York. I have featured several of their owl products in my previous posts but it was just amazing to see my favorites in person such as owl butter dish, measuring cups, sugar dispenser, kitchen timer and lamps. Those lamps are just so gorgeous! I wish I had some space in my luggage to bring them home with me.

Those of you who read this post will know that I took a short trip to New York City last week. I appreciate you leaving comments on that post and your valuable recommendations. Epiphany, thank you for letting me know about Strand Books store. I had a great time! I didn't know that they had an entire floor dedicated to rare and vintage books. Mind you, that's only one small part of their "18 miles of books" that consists of new and used books, that's what I recently found out.

This store instantly became one of my favorite places to visit in NYC when I saw Strand's newest range of pouches, pens, tote bags and book accessories, all with their iconic Hooty the owl logo. I took a few pictures in the store of all the owl products to share with you here. Oh, I also close came across this video of Martha Stewart who shares "I love this bag". Take a look and if you want one for yourself, you can buy it from their website.
