Mary Stanley is a textile artist who loves to create woodland folk art creatures out of fiber, fabric and recycled materials. I first came across her beautiful hooked owls and cats from her Flickr page.
Her work is inspired by her local surroundings in Santa Barbara, primitive folk art as well as contemporary art.
You can follow her blog Art Spirit to get updates on her new work and to see her more work go to her gallery on Flickr.
Thank you so much for including me on your wonderful blog! I always look forward to seeing what you have found to share with us.I am an Owl lover, too!
ReplyDeleteMary is a fantastic artist and a great friend. I am a collector of her work! I have several of her owls!
