Happy Holidays!

I still can't believe how the year ended so quickly. It feels like only yesterday I was writing a post for January. How time really flies!

Holidays is a time to spend with your loved ones. I hope you all make wonderful memories with your family and friends this season. Before I wrap up for this year, I want to thank you all for your love and support. It means a lot to me that you stop by here to read my blog and encourage me with your sweet comments.

As a small gift from me to you, I made this Christmas tree (with ornaments from Owl Lover 2014 Calendar) to show you how much you mean in my life. I hope you like it :) I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a very happy holidays!

Love,
Shivani

I am in awe with this series called "Repeating Pattern" painted by Daniel Mackie. Each painting is done by hand using pencil and watercolors with mind-blowing detail and intricacy. You can see what went behind the scenes on his blog where he documented each piece with an interesting trivia. Check out his online store where these gorgeous patterns are available on cards.

Iain Macarthur: Animal Portraits

Iain Macarthur born in Swindon, England was an art fanatic from the age of eight. He started by drawing cartoon characters and now he also draws animal portarits with intricate patterns inspired by nature and birds. His work has unique touch of decorative elements added to them that often consists of unusual shapes and detailed carvings.

"Using mostly pencil, watercolours and pigment pens, I create portraits of ordinary people but create them in a unusual way by, embellishing patterns and watercolour effects into the portrait to give a vivid explosion effect—transforming their faces from something plain to something entirely bizarre and wonderful at the same time."

His prints are available for purchase from Society6. To learn more about him and his work check out his portfolio on his website.
