Follow My Owl Barn on Feedly + Bloglovin

I had made an account on Bloglovin a long time ago but never got around using it. But with Google Reader shutting down on July 1st, I have reactivated my account. If you like, you can follow My Owl Barn on Bloglovin. Another great alternative to Google Reader that I recently learnt about is Feedly - it's a beautiful app with a clean design and easy to use interface. You can set up an account in a blink of an eye, and search, browse your favorite websites and blogs.

Laura Di Francesco is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from Rome, Italy who is currently living in Sweden. She has illustrated many children's books, kids decorations and greeting cards for brands in USA, Italy, France, Spain and Sweden.

The above shown woodland illustrations stole my heart instantly. It's cuteness overload in each illustration. She generally uses pencil in her work and then adds color digitally using Photoshop. These prints are from a series made especially for kids' room but I think they'll fit perfectly in any room of the house.

Wall Lamps by Hartendief

Holland based designer Hylkia and the founder of Hartendief manufactures the coolest wall lamps for children's room. The lamps come with music boxes hidden inside that play soothing music and are independent of the light. My favorites are the owls, the raccoon and the fox. See their entire collection here.

Squish-n-chips: Pop-up Cards

Squish-n-chips is a husband and wife team of Sam and Orawee Bradley who started their business to create unique handmade things at an affordable price.

They make these whimsical 3D pop-up cards from their home in Oxford, United Kingdom. Each card is cut and folded by hands, the animal inspired cards are available in several designs - owl, squirrel  rabbit, deer and more. You can buy them individually or in a set of three from here.

Waitrose Woodland Friends Chocolates

I adore these egg shaped ceramic containers by Sonia Pollio. She lives in Piano di Sorrento, a lovely town in Amalfi Coast, and hand-paints and decorates each of her pieces in her studio. These containers are from her 'Easter Egg Collection' which includes - an owl, two cats, a sheep and a rabbit. These perfect to be filled with Easter candy or to hold paper clips on your desk or trinkets on your dresser. How would've you used them?

Night Owl by Electra Bike

I am in love with the 'Night Owl' cruiser bike by Electra Bike. It's a brand based in Vista, California, founded in 1993 by Benno Bänziger and Jeano Erforth.

This is the best time to do outdoor activities like biking before the temperature starts to rise to the point where we can't think of a simple walk let alone biking. Biking has always been one of my favorite things that I enjoy to do in the evenings alone soaking in the ever changing sky and the scenery. There are so many trials where I live and this cruiser style bike is just perfect for those trails. I already own a great bike similar to this one but the 'Night Owl' looks really cool with those owl graphics all over it. The cute 'sleeping owl' and 'awake owl' designs are on the back and front of the bike, on the seat, on the bell and even on the valve caps. There are matching t-shirts and a tote bag to go with the bike.
