'Welcome into the future' - Light Projections on Sculptures

Dutch design studios Sober Industries and Studio Rewind collaborated in 2011 for a project called "Welcome to the Future" that featured wooden sculptures of an owl and a rhinoceros. The exhibit took place during the annual event Rotterdamse Museumnacht 2011 (Netherlands) where the visitors were able to control the projected visuals by a custom-made motion sensor that made the colors of the visuals change on being titled and by pressing buttons that skipped through the lighting options. The constantly changing patterns created an enchanting and entertaining display for the audiences creating an impression as if the creatures were alive and moving. Must watch the video to see the event in action.
