Sarah Esteje is a French illustrator who studied art in Paris at LISAA ( L'institut supérieur des arts appliqués) and Gobelins School of the Image, Paris. She draws meticulous and amazingly detailed portraits of animals using only blue ball point pens and white paper for her work. I am still in awe by the intricacy with which she has drawn the feathers on the owl. Very, very impressive.
She shares (via): "For my animal portraits, I really chose pictures in which they looked human, and in some of my human portraits, I love how brutish they can look.
But in a general way it is difficult to touch somebody with the portrait of a stranger, it is easier with animals."
