Margeaux Davis is an Australian artist who hand-makes toys, dolls and soft sculptures. For her creations she prefers to use old and discarded fabric "as I like that there is a bit of history and romance in that"- she shares. Her dolls and creatures are influenced by old folk tales, children's stories as well as the natural world. Each of her piece takes countless hours of stitching, embroidering, unpicking and stitching again.

Owl Themed Garden Wedding
I LOVE this wedding! When I reached this blog where I originally found about the owl themed wedding, the first thing that caught my attention was the color scheme. The unique color palette of bright blue, orange, yellow, pink was perfect for this owl themed garden wedding. You can see how the colors add style and bring the fab factor to the couple's special day.
Cassi & Shawn had an owl themed wedding at CJs Off The Square in Downtown Franklin, TN in the gorgeous garden setting. Why did they choose owl as their wedding theme? "Shawn worked at the Southeastern Raptor Center while they both attended Auburn University. His work there has given them both a passion for owls and they were able to incorporate them throughout the entire wedding with an owl seating chart, table numbers, ring pillow, paper mache card holder (handmade by a friend), owl cake toppers and the most talked about of the night…the life-like OWL grooms cake!! This was such a fun wedding with an amazing couple."

Miniature Paintings: Ffufland
I just recently discovered these paintings on etsy by an artist called Fuff aka Ffufland based out of Germany. These miniature paintings are hand-painted in acrylic on wood panel measuring about 4 inches by inches. The artist's primary subject matter of work is animals, insects, landscapes, starry skies usually painted in black and white with a pop of colors here and there. I adore the simplicity in style, and the use of line and dot patterns to depict textures throughout the work.
