Seattle based artist Kimera Wachna paints stunning landscapes, animals and insects on natural wood slices from branches that have fallen or are damaged.
"Growing up surrounded by trees, I’ve found a deep affinity for the life force present in the natural world. For years I worked long monotonous hours in the city, in front of a computer, and felt like I was contradicting my very existence. So, five months ago, I decided to make a change."- via
Now she makes mini paintings and burns wood which creates an intimate experience between her and the nature. She hand sands each piece before transforming it completely into a vibrant piece of art. Her pieces that are available for purchase can be found in her online store - Gracemere Woods.
