Lucy Pendrick is a felt artist based in Wellington, England. She has been passionate about art every since she was a little girl. She used to collect crimson leaves and buckets of iridescent shells, and would then spend several hours dreaming of projects she could make with them. She got involved with felt when one day her sister gave her a teddy bear kit and instantly fell in love with the process.
She creates realistic sculptures of wildlife that are one-of-a-kind without any help of patterns. She would start with a wire frame for the animal she has in mind then wrap it in wool, a blend of local corriedale fleece and moth silk which gives the pieces a beautiful shimmer. Besides creating sculptures she makes 3D felted animal portraits onto an embroidery hoop and brooches. Currently, she is preparing for her upcoming exhibitions so she does not have any sculptures in her online store -The Whispering Wild - which will be updated at the end of April. So check back! Meanwhile you can find dates and more information of the exhibitions here.
