Janine Partington is a Bristol based artist who makes beautiful enamel crafts with fresh and contemporary design. She gained degree in BA at Sheffield Polytechnic in History of Art, Design and Film and an MA at Leicester University in Museum Studies. Later, she took up a course at Filton College, Bristol in enameling. Now as a full-time enamel artist she creates panels, sculptures and jewelry using the technique of dusting powdered vitreous enamel over hand-cut stencils onto copper. Her work is inspired by nature around her, often featuring animals, flowers and trees.
She has participated in craft fairs such as the Contemporary Craft Festival at Bovey Tracey, the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Manchester and Origin in London. She will be a part of the exhibition from June 9 through 11, 2017 at Contemporary Craft Festival. More details on the event can be found on this page.
Janine's work is shown in several galleries and shops throughout the UK including The Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey Tracey, Gallery on the Square in St Ives, The Cider Press Centre in Dartington, Castle Gallery in Inverness, Cambridge Contemporary Crafts in Cambridge and The Rostra Gallery in Bath.
