Lisa Naples is a ceramic artist with an experience of working with clay over 40 years. She creates whimsical pots, plates and mugs illustrated with animals and sculptures. Her pieces are sculpted in shape of a rabbit or a bird in her studio in Doylestown, PA. She has a distinct style of using the medium of clay and sculpting techniques to make mammal forms to tell stories.
She has exhibited in number of shows all over the country and has been awarded with many awards over the years. She was awarded the Jane and Leonard Korman Prize for Excellence in Contemporary Ceramics at the 2012 PMA show. In 2010, she was honored with the “Best of Philly” award in the category of “Best Gallery Artist”. Her work has been published in various books and magazines including Splendid Settings The Art + Craft of Entertaining by Jane Korman, Masters Earthenware: Major Works by Leading Artists by Matthias Ostermann, Ceramics Monthly, Philadelphia Magazine and many more.
