Birds by Anna Smorodina

Anya Smorodina is a self-taught embroider who creates embroidered birds that get converted into statement brooches. After years of experimentation with materials and embroidery techniques she has discovered her own unique style. She would start the tedious process by embroidering the bird on felt and embellish each one with layers of Japanese beads, Swarovski, rhinestones, pearls, and crystals.
