Catherine Nolin's paintings are no less than a treat for the sore eyes. Massachusetts based artist is a self-taught painter who paints beautiful rooms decorated with luxurious furniture and stunning drapery lived in by humans and animals. The influence of Italian Renaissance is evident in her work, she incorporates objects and themes from this art period into her paintings.
She got exposed to the world of art when she was only 10 years of age. She was enrolled in a class at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston after finishing which she continued to draw on furniture pieces and chairs with fabric patterns.
Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. She has exhibited in galleries and numerous shows throughout the Northeast. Her work featured in publications such as Surrounding Magazine, Wilson Art's, The Statement Blog, Note To Self, and Shelterrific. Her work was selected for the cover of Sasee Magazine. She has also done a commission for a Grammy-winning singer.
