Women Portraits Painted in Vibrant Watercolors and Patterns

Hi friends, thank you for your visits and the comments on the blog. I hope you found the last week's owl finds enjoyable. I shall wrap up for the weekend with these beautiful watercolor paintings by an artist from Istanbul Hülya Özdemir who is currently living in Bodrum.

"Colour harmony sensibility" is how the artist describes the style of her artwork. The portraits of women in elaborate dresses and hair are often surrounded with animals, birds, flowers and other natural elements. Her paintings are inspired by Frida Kahlo and Gustav Klimt. The lustrous colors and wonderful patterns is what makes Hülya Özdemir's paintings unique. "I'm a colour hunter. I use my imagination as a colour catching net and collect them for my new paintings" via.

Have a great weekend! I'll see you on Monday.
