Sue Prewitt creates amazing wool paintings from her home studio in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. To make the paintings she uses wool that's humanely collected from the sheep living on the farms in the US. Her work is inspired by her surrounding featuring animals, birds and landscapes. "I hope you can see the echo of nature, and the love I have for it, in my art." She would use a combination of wet felting to replicate the color and texture and needle felting to add details in her work. Her pieces vary in sizes ranging from 6 inches hoop to larger paintings.
Not only is she a talented artist, she would also make a conscious effort of reusing packaging materials whenever possible to ship her work reducing the impact on the environment. You can find her one-of-a-kind pieces in her online store Tangled Roots.
