Maryna Chopiak is an illustrator and a ceramic artist. She and her three daughters live near a forest and often go for walks together. Her love for outdoors, the nature and the forest creatures all inspire her ceramic pieces.
She makes cups, mugs, soap dishes, planters, pots, sugar bowls with lids, and bowls in the color palette that is perfect for the woodland theme inspired ceramics. Brown, turquoise, orange, green, yellow, and deep blue are the primary colors in her work. I love the warm texture that resembles the tree bark.
"I like to create soulful things, that will bring you joy or can cause pleasant memories of childhood, remind you of something important."
Each ceramic is hand sculpted without the potter's wheel which makes every piece unique. To decorate the exterior the artist hand-paints owls, foxes, berries, and floral designs with food safe glazes.
You can find her creations in her online store - Gnome Home Ceramics.
