Textile artist Sophie Standing, whose work I featured a while ago on the blog here, did some amazing new pieces. Wildlife artist Sophie creates illustrations with colorful threads and a needle using fabric as her canvas. Living in Kenya for over 15 years, artist's work is inspired by the beautiful African animals and the surrounding nature. She produces a unique artwork combining applique and free motion embroidery. Each finished piece is created with layers of fabric which are then sewed together with different colored threads t o form these amazing animals.
