Melissa Frances Bennett is a sculptor and a multi media artist born in Asheville, North Carolina. In 2012, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication from Savannah College of Art Design specializing in illustration and sculpture making.
Melissa creates metal sculptures out of recycled and salvaged materials inspired by nature. "My favorite part about working with steel and other found materials is the inevitable adventure." 27 years old artist currently lives and works from North Carolina where she sparks life into discarded and decaying inanimate objects.
She creates owls, birds, bees, rabbits, turtles, and hummingbirds with doorknobs, farming tools, nuts and bolts, blades and metal scraps that she has collected from junk yard.
